You may be wondering why this brace is referred to as a ‘philadelphia neck collar.’ There are many different cervical neck collars (aspen, philadelphia, miami-j, halo braces) that all feature unique traits. Philadelphia collars are two-piece collars that allow easy application due to the Velcro closures. These collars feature a chin rest to maximize the amount of support and immobilization of the brace and also has a hole for ventilation/medical respiratory reasons.
